This month, Social Security has paid a record amount of 12,051.4 million euros to the payroll of contributory pensions in Spain. It is 10.9% more than in the same month of 2022 and the average pension remains at 1,196.35 euros. But not all beneficiaries earn the same. The differences between territories in the amount of retirement pensions are not only notable between autonomies, up to 46% from the Basque Country to Extremadura, but also between neighboring provinces, 56.4% between Asturias and Lugo, and even from the same community, 32.4% between Valladolid and Zamora.
According to the data provided this week by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, corresponding to the month of September, they confirm that the average retirement pension received by Basque citizens (1,685.33 euros) exceeds by 535.33 euros male employees. the one that Extremadurans enter, which on this occasion has stood at 1,000.05 euros, which is 9.79% more than a year ago. Castilla y León, the community with the most differences
