Now in charge of the US market, he was also a user experience (UX) designer at Google. He is now going to lead the growth of Freepik in order to expand the presence in this region that he considers key for the company.
In his new position, Florido will be responsible for the growth of the Freepik product, which specifically includes photos, videos, vectors, illustrations and PSD (Photoshop) files. But in addition, he will be responsible for the startup’s parallel platform, Slidego. This website offers free templates to enhance Google Slides and PowerPoint presentations. In particular, in this area of the business, more than half of the premium subscribers are from the US, so Freepik seemed opportune to land in this territory with it.

Before its arrival in the United States, the company dedicated itself to closing different purchases to reinforce its product. The platform was born in 2010 as a free image bank, and currently has more than 10 million graphic resources to offer and works with a ‘freemium’ model, where there is access to various content, both free and paid.
