Cabify entered 27.5% more in Spain in 2022 thanks to an increase in investment

Cabify obtained revenues of 199.5 million euros in its 2022 financial year in Spain, increasing its turnover by 27.5% compared to the previous year. The gross operating result in those twelve months of the chauffeured transport vehicle (VTC) services platform, on the other hand, was 11.5 million, 9.4% less than what was recorded in 2021.

Cabify’s revenue growth corresponds to a higher level of investment in the national market in this period, according to the latest accounts deposited by the platform in the Commercial Registry. With the rebound in sales, the company leaves behind the impact caused by the pandemic in the figures for the years 2020 and 2021, when the health emergency led to a worsening of the mobility business.

The results for fiscal year 2022, the last for which data is available, also indicate an increase of up to 50% in the mobility company’s tax contribution. After this increase, the amount of taxes paid by Cabify reached 21.6 million euros, the highest figure achieved by the company since its creation in 2011.

Cabify pays 7 out of every 10 euros in taxes in Spain

Beyond the 21.6 million paid in taxes in Spain (IRPF, social security and indirect taxes), Cabify paid more than 30 million globally. The company also highlights that in the last four years it has paid 96 million in taxes worldwide, 57 of them in Spain.

In fiscal year 2022, 7 out of every 10 euros in taxes paid by Cabify worldwide were paid in Spain, where the company has its corporate headquarters and a team made up of more than 500 people. At the employment level, Cabify’s average workforce in Spain grew by 82 people in 2022 compared to 2021, which represents an increase of 20%. On the other hand, Cabify’s R&D&I investment in 2022 amounted to 10.5 million and in the last five years the mobility company has disbursed more than 48 million in this concept.

Cabify operates with local companies in all the countries where it is present. In Spain it does so through three companies: Cabify España (operates the platform business in La Coruña; Santander; Madrid; Seville; Málaga; Marbella and Murcia), Miurchi (business in Valencia, Alicante and Zaragoza) and Prestige & Limousine (services in Barcelona and also its own fleet in Madrid and Barcelona).

Globally, Cabify has more than 50 million registered users and 1.5 million collaborating drivers and taxi drivers. After being born in Madrid, the company landed in Latin America and is currently present, in addition to Spain, in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay.
