Last night, a 69-year-old woman was killed by her 80-year-old husband after he stabbed him more than twenty times in his home. Spanish police said that the knife wounds showed he had been doing it for quite some time. The man, who authorities have not yet identified, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and died in a hospital.
The victim is a British citizen, and the arrest was made by the UK police.
Emergency crews arrived at the house a little after 10:30 pm to find an unconscious woman. Her body had been stabbed, and she was pronounced dead by the medical authorities who were on-scene. The husband, meanwhile, was found to have inflicted more than twenty wounds upon himself in his own attack.
The National Police will investigate this crime to help identify the perpetrator.
